Volleyball: Becoming the first team from our city to qualify for national finals!

Volleyball has never been just an athletic activity that I do only for fun to me. It is the part of my life where I get to express myself the best and create the strongest connections with people. Volleyball carries the aspects of real life, mostly critical thinking and quick deciding skills.

As a student-athlete I've always considered volleyball not as something that prevent my academics, but as the best weapon I can use to protect my mental and physical health.

Last season was like a dream for me and my team: we proved everyone in our city who didn't believe in us. As we traveled through 11 different cities, we finally ended up in the national finals. It was a dream coming true! For the first time in Turkish Men's Highschool Club Volleyball League, a team from Sivas was standing in the national finals.

This was obviously the payment of our hardwork. We cried together, laughed together, had hard times but also easy ones. No matter what happened, we always stood up as a team and finally achieved one of our biggest goals.

I am extremely proud of every single player in my team. As their captain, I hope we will spend an amazing one last season before I graduate. We're always very thankful to everyone who support us and just keep watching us, we will become even stronger every other day. Goodbye season of 2024-2025 and welcome our last season together, 2025-2026!
